Send a separate email for each submission. Response time is about three weeks, but it can be longer based on the workload of the editor.
Word Count: All articles should be between 500 to 2000 words.

Rights: Since SFC Newsletter for Writers is a non-paying market, we do not reserve any rights to your work. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL ACCEPTED SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ON THE WEBSITE IN OUR PDF ARCHIVES. If you submit your work somewhere else, we recommend that you inform the magazine/website that it has been printed in another place. Some magazines do not accept reprints.
FORMATTING YOUR SUBMISSION:
1. Email submissions are required. You can send ONLY Word Doc. Formats (i.e—name of file.doc) as an attachment; otherwise, you need to copy and paste your submission into the body of your email. WE ARE UNABLE TO OPEN RTF OR DOCX FILES. MAKE SURE TO PROPERLY RE-FORMAT YOUR SUBMISSION IF INCLUDING IT IN THE BODY OF YOUR EMAIL – DON'T MAKE US DO IT FOR YOU OR IT WILL BE DISCARDED. WE SIMPLY DON'T HAVE THE TIME.
2. Your email subject line should have: the title of your submission and SFC Newsletter for Writers(i.e.—Writing for Children, SFC Newsletter for Writers.)
3. Your name, contact information, word count, and date of submission should be in the TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER of your attached submission.
4. USE ONLY TIMES NEW ROMAN OR ARIAL 12pt FONT.
5. ALL submissions are to be SINGLE-SPACED with NO indents, AND a blank line between to indicate paragraphs.
6. Your title should be 1/3rd the way down the first page and who it is written by directly underneath. If you are using a PEN NAME, please clearly indicate this in your cover letter.
7. Include along with your bio (50 words or less), any links to your websites, and contact information you would like posted (if your submission is chosen for publication) on the last page of your submission. NOTE-If you have been published with us before, we still need you to include an updated bio with every new submission.
8. If you have a bibliography, it should be attached separately to the email or at the very bottom in the body of the email. ALL BIBLIOGRAPHIES MUST HAVE THREE DIFFERENT RESOURCES. (i.e. Internet, Magazine/Scholastic articles, previously published books, Interview(s) with an expert)
9. SEND ONLY ONE SUBMISSION PER EMAIL.
10. Simultaneous submissions must be indicated. You must notify us immediately if your submission is accepted elsewhere.

SFC Newsletter for Writers reserves the right to reject any submission without explanation. We also reserve the right to re-title, modify, edit, abridge, or confirm accuracy of any material accepted for publication. All major changes will be brought to the author's attention with a request for corrections.
